Vibration Free, No Excavation, Minimal Disturbance
Ground Sun installed 46 screw pile foundations for a modular school building in the Canterbury Academy in Kent. The installation was completed with a 5 tonne machine brought to site by Ground Sun. This enabled Ground Sun to complete the foundations within 2 days, a turnaround not possible with other foundation solutions. Ground Sun’s screw piles are vibration free and require no excavation which enabled the school to remain open whilst works were being completed with minimal disturbance from noise, vibration or muck-away lorries for excavation.

Ground Sun installed 45 degree raking piles in this project for supporting horizontal loads, this would allow the school to build a much larger, multiple story building in the future in place of the modular building.
