AB Chance Hubbell helical pulldown micropile (screw piles) with grout were installed in this courtyard adjoining Claridges in Mayfair to support a 25m high structure which included a ventilation riser. This listed building was being converted from an office to a restaurant.
Access was restricted with only doorway access. Six screw piles were installed, each to 6m deep. This displacement piling method has no need for removal of any soil from the ground so was an ideal solution for this project.
