Ground Sun were commissioned by Heathrow airport main contractor to install 80 number AB Chance Screw Piles with solid steel shaft and 160 mm C30 grout column. Our AB Chance screw piles are the safest and best screw piling system in the world and given on this project the piles would be supporting a new 100m long landing station for aviation fuel that is adjacent to the rail line that carries the heaviest payload of all rail lines in the UK.
Ground Sun installed the AB Chance Screw Piles in two days which was 5 days ahead of programme by working two 15 hour shifts.
